How to survive in the real world.
There are a few things that I've learned over the past 10 years since I graduated high school. It hasn't been in a year or a day that I learned how to be compassionate, or patient to others and how to be nice to people. For me, I already knew how to do those things. But there are certain things you just don't learn from high school.
Like, when you go to college, you learn just the basis of the basis. Although, those basics might include earning your self an associates degree and or a bachelor's. And some of you might go off to a Ph'd and or continue to receive your attorney degree. But, it's not just about books and nerds. ( Matter of fact, be nice to those nerds you made fun of in high school. They become lawyers, politicians and celebrities. Even evil scientists who create bad diseases. And do bad things )
But as I ramble on further down my blog, as you go ahead and learn to do all of these skills you need to know to succeed in your chosen field career, there is just so much more than just knowing what you learned from school and books.
A lot of people would say and think that if you're a nerd and really smart, like complete genius, then you are a know it all and people don't like you any more and or think that you're anti- social. And when you're anti - social you don't have any social skills.
But some people would say that you're street smart, makes you book smart. It doesn't really matter. It matters is , if you can pay your bills on time and you know how to survive by putting food on the table and have a roof over your head. For every occasion or any season or bad weather. It all matters.
When I was back in my high school career, ( As I call it. ) I am, so , so happy that I actually took time to study and learn the things I know now even how to do some basic skills. For example. Like, applying for a job or keeping a job for a few years. ( That includes part time or temporary position. ) It helps if you can keep your job for a very long time. And go on retirement and survive without working. Visa versa. It really matters what your pay check is.
Majority of the time, it's what you say and how you say it matters the most. You can't just approach your boss and assume she /he won't get offended. For instance, " Are you sleeping with your co worker? " Or, hey boss. Can I get a raise? " There are different ways of approaching different situations and still trying to keep your job. I would be the least person to give advice on how to keep a job. But, I would be an experienced person on how to survive in the real world.
