The NRA. " What about it?"
I've heard many excuses to why politicians should be collecting the NRA money. The number excuse that people and politicians who do collect the NRA is The tremendous power of special interest money in politics often drowns out the voice of everyday Americans, threatens our First Amendment freedoms, and erodes the foundations of our entire democracy. To restore fairness to our political system, CLC advocates for passing and enforcing strong campaign finance reforms that help guarantee a democracy responsive to the peop.
Or collecting the NRA money is to protect the second Amendment. NRA is also tax exemption. The big problem with politicians collecting the NRA money and using that excuse that collecting NRA money protects our second amendment. But that may not be true, there has been many shootings and school shootings. Especially in Florida.
Rubio received donations of $3,303,355 – one before the Florida Senate primary and another after he won the Republican nomination.
Plus, who could forget the horrible Florida school shooting. 17 students dead and sending students running for their lives, according to law enforcement officers on the scene.
The suspect, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, was taken into custody off campus. He slipped out of the school after the shooting by blending in with other students who were trying to escape, according to two law enforcement sources and an eyewitness.
This is unacceptable. The NRA must be stopped. Marco Rubio stood in hall meetiong with high school students from the Florida shooting and bragged about how he will not collect NRA money. But it's just sad that he broke his promised these students and refused to take money from the NRA.
The next thing we know, he's on the news for collecting NRA money. This is unacceptable.
