Is my house haunted? Things keep on falling in my house and they’re not even that heavy.

Ghosts/ Haunting/

The thing is, with spirits, I believe in ghosts. Just today at 8/21/2021 I was sleeping at night. Around 9am, before my alarm rang, someone took my right leg and pulled it in the center of the bed.

I watched The Conjuring a few weeks ago. I only watched it for 45 minutes and there was no haunting, nothing scary happening in the movie accept the family dog died. But I still didn't want anything scary happening to me like the haunting in my house. So 4t minutes later, I turned off the tv. I go in to my kitchen to put away my dish in the sink and wash it and all of my kitchen doors were open

From the bottom to the top. I got really scared. Then today, I got pulled by something like a ghost or a demon. I live in Trenton, NJ. I did some research on the community and they said that these apartments where I"m at are haunted. There are a lot of ghosts in this apartment. I lived there for one year and nothing happened. Yet. Just today.

I'll be writing my dreams every day . I'll try to remember to write them down.

Here are what some of my friends had to say about my question.

Before jumping to supernatural explanations, you should try to eliminate natural ones first. You didn’t provide much detail, but the one you did provide is telling: “they’re not even that heavy”. Light things are a lot easier to move than heavy things.

So what are some possible natural explanations?

  • If the objects are falling off shelves: are the shelves level? loose, or well secured? is the floor level?
  • Is there a source of vibration nearby? eg. furnace, air conditioner, garage opener? close to a busy road? close to a subway? area prone to small earthquakes? Be aware that you don’t have to be able to hear it, for the vibration to be felt?
  • What about air currents? Are there open windows? Fans? Air ducts?
  • What about “pets”? I put it in quotes because even if you don’t have a cat or dog, you might have some unwanted rodents in your house that you are unaware of, that are more than capable of knocking things over when they come out and explore at night.
  • What about temperature changes? If your house creaks a lot, that is due to expansion and contraction caused by the changes in temperature over the course of a day. These changes can cause minor bowing in materials, changing a level shelf/floor to an un level one, or causing hanging items to swing

This is not an exhaustive list because you haven’t indicated what is falling, when, what your house is like, nor where you live. However it should give you a basis to work on.

Can you please send in all the information to do with the house disturbances?

It could be rodents at night, droughts, other people, earthquake prone areas, poor maintenance, heavy trucks/traffic going past outside etc.. Don't just blame the spookiest. If spookiest are to blame for what is happening? Then they are usually more subtle and blatant to make themselves known.

The bungalow I lived in before my current address was /is haunted.. My eldest son has severe brain damage doubly incontinent babbles for speech can't walk and is wheelchair bound. All his life he has seen spirits and still does at 20 years old. In the bungalow he used to sit and watch a portal on the living room wall. He still sees anywhere up to 7 spookiest every night he goes to bed, either in my house, respite or college. In  the bungalow I have taken photos of the portal when my son was looking in that direction and it looked like someone had turned on a bubble machine and smoke machine.

We've had bright white balls of light the size of a golf ball shoot through the walls and ceiling and crack really loudly, lost items appear in front of your face or next to you, other lights, shadows, partial figures, items moving to different locations randomly, objects moving in front of you, doors locking /unlocking, toilet flushing, sink taps turning on and off, and numerous other things. It was always eventful in that bungalow.. I lived in that house for about 12 years or so, and I can only recollect no more than 10 times that we have felt something evil come through the portal, but when some nasty as fuck spooky came through you would normally suffer from paralysis, the feelings of dread/gloom/hatred and anger was just indescribable, and the smells of sulfur, wet dog, and death just made you want to throw up..

One of the weirdest things was, I used to buy flowers every week to brighten up the play, and I had some roses and tulips in a vase on the kitchen window ledge and they were pretty much dead and ready to throw in the bin. My ex wife and I were stood in the kitchen doorway talking about the flowers and other stuff and I was facing the door and she was facing the vase and her eyes widened. I asked what? Was wrong and she pointed ahead, and then we both stood there watching the dead roses and tulips in the vase, coming back to life and getting all there colors back into them, and looking perfectly fresh.

I shouted out Thank you.

Those flowers lasted about 4 or 5 days before they died again. It only happened just the once, nothing similar happened ever again. The odd thing was? When the flowers came back to life for 5 days, there wasn't any water in the vase, they just stood up perfectly healthy for approx 5 days and then they were dead.

3.)

After dining there several times and speaking with members of the restaurant’s staff, my wife and I were persuaded that the building, built many years ago, where they established that restaurant was, indeed, haunted. Built on a downward slope of Mingus Mountain the land there is quite stable and does not vibrate. Yet, according to members of the restaurant staff, objects will fly off of shelves…especially during the night.

Is there a particular reason that you believe your house may be haunted? I once lived in an old farm house where unexplained sounds occurred and images appeared. I heard the sounds, never saw the images but others who lived there did.

4.)

I doubt your home is haunted. The most common signs of a haunting in a home are that things will disappear and then reappear (usually,) small things may be found out of place, this continues and may get better over time or worse. You are very unlikely to see any ghosts or apparitions. It is very, very rare, nearly unheard of that whatever is causing this will harm you or any one of the household in any way.

5.)

Whether it’s a ghost, a cat, or your house settling, buy some museum putty and stick a bit under items that tend to fall.

6.)Want to tell me about your neighbor? I see a white two story house chipped paint on the outside

7)

Your shelves are crooked - next time use a spirit level.
